Vocal Skills 1 is a 5 week beginner program for adults (16 years and over), designed to develop good vocal technique through a variety of exercises, focusing on warming up, posture, breath control, vocal health, intonation and harmonising with others.  You’ll receive an introduction to major scales, intervals, vocal harmony and more.  We’ll also work on an ensemble piece together.

This course is delivered online and participants will be required to have a camera, headphones and access to the internet Classes will be recorded for revision purposes and class materials will be supplied.

Teacher: Tiaryn Griggs

Tiaryn Griggs studied jazz piano and vocal training, graduating with a Bachelor of Music from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), before moving to Melbourne. Tiaryn has collaborated with numerous artists and bands, tirelessly exploring various avenues of music and performance, before forming a band of her own. Tiaryn’s sound is a graceful blend of electronic, soul and pop elements, which combines unique synths, lush harmonies, sampled soundscapes and compelling stories.
