School Holiday Workshop – Electronic Music (Melb)

AIM’s holiday workshop is designed for high school students interested in Electronic Music. Created for students in Years 9-12, the two-day electronic workshops provide incredible opportunities to experience creating & performing mentored by AIM’s own accomplished industry & Ableton-certified professionals

CREATE, RECORD, MIX AND PERFORM UNDER THE EXPERTISE OF AIM’S ELECTRONIC MUSIC SPECALISTS.

What will you do at the Electronic Music Workshop?

Over 2 days students will work with AIM’s audio industry professionals to learn electronic music skills in our state-of-the-art facilities. During the workshop, they will guide students to navigate all things audio, electronic music, and composing using DAW.

DAW Skills Workshop 

Learn the fundamentals of Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) whilst creating a variety of sounds and loops that could form the basis for your very own electronic music track. 

Sound Design Workshop

Use a microphone to capture sounds and learn how to manipulate those sounds using a variety of techniques in a DAW.  Plus, learn how to create sounds from scratch in a DAW by using a synthesiser. 

Arrangement Workshop 

Learn how to take the ideas you created in the first session and expand them into a fully arranged track. 

Mixing Workshop 

Balance all the elements of your track by mixing them together using a variety of techniques. Learn about how to mix your track before you showcase it at the end of the session! 

Electronic Music at the Australian Institute of Music

AIM has a dedicated Bachelor of Music – Creative Technology (Audio), as well as a Diploma of Music, both of which can be used to explore audio and production at a tertiary level. Find out more about AIM’s Electronic Music programs.
