  • Melbourne Orientation: Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
  • Sydney Orientation: Thursday, September 10, 2026.
  • Classes Start: Monday, September 14, 2026.
  • Census Date: Thursday, October 1, 2026 (This is the last day to choose/change your units).
Study Period 1
  • Orientation: Commences the week of 1-5 February, 2027.
  • Classes Start: Monday, February 8, 2027.
  • Census Date: Thursday, February 25, 2027 (This is the last day to choose/change your units).
Study Period 2
  • Orientation: Commences the week of 24-28 May, 2027.
  • Classes Start: Monday, May 31, 2027.
  • Census Date: Thursday, June 17, 2027 (This is the last day to choose/change your units).
Study Period 3
  • Orientation: Commences the week of 6-10 September 2027.
  • Classes Start: Monday, September 13, 2027.
  • Census Date: Thursday, September 30, 2027 (This is the last day to choose/change your units).

Entry Requirements

School leaver applicants must:

  • Have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 qualification (or overseas equivalent as assessed by the Department of Education, including the International Baccalaureate (IB)), in the last 2 years.

Students who have successfully completed the senior level of the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (or equivalent (VCAL/VCE(VM)in the last 2 years; may be eligible for entry into a diploma level course.  Students may use the diploma as a pathway into a degree.

Applicants must provide a resume outlining any previous musical study, and/or practical music experiences and achievement.
