Early Entry
Your priority pass to a future in music.
Set on studying music after Year 12? AIM’s Early Entry program lets you secure your spot before you get your results. Instead of waiting months to find out where you’ll study, you can apply early, showcase your talent through an audition or portfolio, and receive an offer that helps take one major decision off your plate in your final year.

Why Early Entry?
With AIM’s Early Entry Program, you can spend your final year of school focusing on your craft instead of stressing about where you’re going to study.
By submitting your application early, you can:
Be assessed on your talent and potential, not your ATAR
While we’d love to know your ATAR, what matters most to us is your musical talent, creative potential, and the unique perspective you bring.
Reduce stress in your final year
by knowing where you’ll study, so you can focus on your music, your school work, and your growth.
Use your audition as focused practice and feedback
THAT you CAN USE TO improve your performance for your final HSC/VCE music assessments.
What does Early Entry get you?
With a successful Early Entry application, you won’t just secure your spot in your dream course; you’ll get a head start on everything that makes life at AIM unforgettable.
Dive into hands-on workshops, explore our world-class facilities ahead of time, and experience the energy of AIM through complimentary tickets to our musicals, showcases, and live performances for you and a guest.
Plus, you’ll receive an exclusive Early Entry welcome pack, featuring your own personalised Early Entry card, premium AIM merchandise, and special discounts on tickets and gear.
How does Early Entry work?
Submit your application
After exploring our range of courses and deciding on your future path in music, complete your Early Entry application form to begin your journey at AIM.
Book your audition or submit your portfolio
Once you’ve submitted your application, a member of our Future Students Team will contact you to help you organise your audition or portfolio submission and guide you through the next steps. For more information on what’s required for your course, please check our submission requirements.
Receive your offer
Once we’ve reviewed your audition, we’ll contact you and, if you’re successful, issue a conditional offer. This means you’ve met our pre‑selection requirements and we’re offering you a place in your chosen course, subject to you completing Year 12 and submitting your HSC/VCE results.
Submit your documents
If we need anything more, we’ll be in touch to request additional documents. After results day, please send through your HSC or VCE results. If you’re applying via UAC or VTAC, ensure that AIM remains your first preference to secure your place.
