Dance Skills 1 is a practical introduction to dance for youth which places emphasis on the role that dance plays in theatrical contexts as a tool for characterisation and storytelling. You will learn a basic warm-up and key dance improvisation techniques towards a simple dance routine.
Songwriting Skills 1 is a 4-week beginner program for youths which introduces the fundamentals of songwriting. You will learn lyric rhyme and rhythm patterns, and some common and useful chord progressions towards the development of your own material.
Vocal Skills 1 is a 4-week beginner program for youths, designed to teach students how to use proper vocal technique. The class will focus on warming up, posture, breath control, with an introduction to vocal health, intonation and harmonising with others.
Keyboard Skills 1 is a 4-week beginner program for youths which will introduce you to keyboard skills through some fun practical activities. This course will teach you correct posture and technique and how to play some major and minor chords to enable you to create a basic accompaniment.
Guitar Skills 1 is a 4-week beginner program for youths which explores guitar basics and gives new players the opportunity to develop foundation skills through practical activities. You will learn correct posture and technique, basic strumming and finger/hand techniques and some key chords, towards being able to play a basic accompaniment.
Youth Acting Skills 1 is a 4-week beginner program that introduces the basics of the acting process through fun practical activities. You will learn about improvisational and group techniques to develop an understanding of character, relationship and situation using simple text analysis on a basic scene presentation.
The 5-Day Intensive school holiday program is a series of collective and collaborative face-to-face practical classes focused on different aspects of music, taught by AIM’s professional staff and guest artists. Over the course of the week, students will come together for large group exercises and masterclasses, as well as streaming into their specialisation classes for music performance, music theatre performance and music production.
Ableton Skills Youth is a 4-week beginner program that introduces you to the basic operations of Ableton Live and offers a great introduction to the fundamentals of creating music in one of the world’s most popular digital audio workstations. You will learn the basic operations of Ableton Live and gain some rudimentary knowledge and skills towards recording and editing Audio/MIDI files.
This is a 5-week intermediate course for adults that builds on the fundamental key areas of music theory and harmony introduced in Music Theory Skills 1 and expands that theoretical knowledge. Students with some theory wishing to refresh their knowledge are encouraged to take the Music Theory Skills 2 course.

Composition Skills 2 is a 5-week intermediate program for designed to build on the compositional techniques introduced in Composition 1 or for those with some experience, to further unlock your creativity and music making confidence. You will learn more advanced song structures, chord progressions, scales, motif structures and rhythmic tools to produce an original composition by the end of the course.

Songwriting Skills 2 is a 5-week intermediate program designed to build on the knowledge and skills gained in Songwriting 1 or for participants with some basic experience.

Vocal Skills 2 is a 5-week intermediate program, which continues the vocal techniques introduced in Vocal Skills 1 or for participants with some basic experience. The class will focus on warming up, vocal health, intonation, harmonising with others and song choice, while also building confidence and performance technique towards the performance of a group song at the end of the course.
