Dr. Paul Geddes

Academic Lecturer

Dr. Paul Geddes is a critically acclaimed theatre practitioner, teacher and scholar.  As an educator and performer he has worked for Sydney Children’s Choir, Gondwana National Choir, Macquarie University and NIDA. He has an A.Mus.A in Piano and a PhD in English Literature with a thesis on the work of Stephen Sondheim. 

Paul’s musical direction credits include Man of La Mancha and The Drowsy Chaperone. He has worked on numerous productions at AIM including Lucky Stiff, Into the Woods (which he re-orchestrated), Urinetown, Selections from LOVEBiTES and Nine.  

Paul has worked extensively in the USA and toured with productions including Side by Side By Sondheim,  Al Jolson Sings Again, Beaconsfield: The Musical and the Australia Council production of Every Single Saturday.  

As a pianist and vocal coach he has worked with many major and independent production companies including Squabbalogic, Darlinghurst Theatre, The Hayes, Sydney Theatre Company and Wicked Australia.
