Tim Willis is an academic and professional musician based in Melbourne. He has been an active contributor to the Melbourne jazz scene since moving from France in 2009 .
Tim obtained his Bachelor of Music from the School of Music at the Australian National University before going on to complete his PhD in Music Performance – Jazz from Monash University’s Zelman Cowen School of Music.
Tim’s band Tim Willis & The End have played a variety of prestigious shows over the past decade including performances at Canberra International Jazz Festival, Vannes International Jazz Festival and Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
The band has recorded three albums of original music through Newmarket Music including The End (2011) Keep your Chin Up (2012) and Night & Day (2015). In 2018 they recorded and performed score for film Censored.
