Jo Elms

Jo Elms is a singer, songwriter, musician and actress.  Born and raised in New Zealand, Jo’s first single, Closest Thing to Heaven was released through Warner Music New Zealand and went to number 5 on the NZ pop charts.  

Jo is constantly performing around Sydney as well as being an in-demand session singer, voice over artist and actress. Her list of credits include TV series Deadly Women and singing backing vocals for artists such as Rick Price, Glenn Shorrock, Tina Arena, Mark Williams, Margaret Urlich, Julie Anthony and Steve Clisby to name but a few. 

Jo has been a vocal and music theory teacher at The Australian Institute of Music for eight years. She continues to perform between Sydney and London as an artist in her own right and as part of produced shows such as My Leonard CohenThe First Ladies of Soul and The Swell Sisters- Sweethearts of the 60s
