Sarita DeGruchy is an former radio executive with extensive experience working in one of the most competitive markets in the world. Now resident in Sydney, she brings her global experience to the students of AIM.

A graduate of the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK (BA, Honours) she went on to enjoy a lengthy career in UK commercial radio before progressing to the national broadcaster, the BBC, where she worked for 13 years.

Working at both BBC Radio 1 as a Music Executive and Head of Music and also at BBC Worldwide as a Project Manager within the Audio and Music division, she worked closely with a Who’s Who of major artists including Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Madonna, Adele, Coldplay, Stormzy and Calvin Harris.

Sarita created the ‘BBC Listener’ app and was recognised by the Guardian UK as being one of the most influential people in the UK music industry.
