Our alumni are making waves in the industry, achieving incredible milestones—from headlining at iconic venues like Oxford Art Factory to scoring feature-length documentaries. Hailing from all corners of Australia and beyond, our graduates are a diverse and talented community, with international students travelling from places as far as China and Pakistan to pursue their passion for music at AIM.
Charmaine Bingwa
Charmaine Bingwa, an AIM Sydney graduate with a Bachelor of Music, has taken the screen by storm, starring in CBS’s “The Good Fight” and alongside Will Smith in “Emancipation”. Charmaine’s career is a testament to her extraordinary talent, making her one of AIM’s most celebrated alumni.
Will Clift
Hailing from the small country town of Eumundi in Queensland, Australia, Will began his music career as an AIM student, studying a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Performance) then pursuing music full time in 2023.
Karla Gilbard
Melbourne-based dream pop producer and self-described “chronic overthinker” KAIAR (aka AIM graduate Karla Gilbard) rummages through layers of off-kilter beats and choppy vocal samples to find personal truth.
Antonia Gauci
Antonia Gauci is a highly respected engineer, mixer, producer and artist based in Sydney. A graduate of AIM’s audio degree, she has amassed credits including Kesha, Lil’ Yachty, What So Not, Troye Sivan, DMAs, Vallis Alps, Japanese Wallpaper, Body Type and many more.
Kailesh Reitmans
Kailesh Reitmans is a composer and AIM graduate with a Bachelor of Music (Composition), best known for scoring the feature documentary ‘Diving into the Darkness’. With a background in classical piano, Kailesh’s passion for film composition developed at AIM, where he honed production skills and explored various musical genres.
Paris Jeffree
Sydney band Middle Kids – featuring AIM alumni Hannah Joy on vocals, guitar and piano – need little introduction. In January 2021, Middle Kids released their second studio album, which earned the ARIA Award for Best Rock Album.
YAGKI
A graduate of AIM with a Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment Management, YAGKI, a Sydney born artist of Lebanese heritage, is known for her distinctive alternative pop sound that artfully balances emotion and catharsis.
James Smithers
James Smithers is an accomplished drummer and graduate of AIM with a Bachelor of Contemporary Performance. As a member of the band Caravãna Sun, he has garnered over 15,000 followers on Instagram and over 1 million plays on Spotify.
Hannah Joy
Sydney band Middle Kids – featuring AIM alumni Hannah Joy on vocals, guitar and piano – need little introduction. In January 2021, Middle Kids released their second studio album, which earned the ARIA Award for Best Rock Album.
Julian Kuo
Julian Kuo is an AIM Music Theatre graduate and multi-disciplinary performer from Sydney, Australia. Working professionally since the age of 11, he has worked in Opera, Contemporary Music, Cabaret and Musical Theatre.
Birdee
A graduate of AIM with a Bachelor of Music (Composition), Sydney-based artist BIRDEE creates music that dances across the boundaries of indi-pop, dance-pop, and electronica.
St. Humain
St. Humain is a 2020 AIM graduate with a Bachelor of Music (Composition). Since 2017, he has carved out a successful independent career, previously signing with Capitol Music Group, and now released music via AWAL.
Gia Darcy
A graduate of the Australian Institute of Music with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music, Gia Darcy is carving a name for herself in the confident pop scene.
Almitra Mavalvala
An international student and graduate of AIM’s Bachelor of Music (Music Theatre), Almitra is a passionate storyteller dedicated to sparking conversations that the West often overlooks.
RISSA
A Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Performance) graduate from AIM, RISSA is a Polynesian-Australian artist who creates music infused with pure soul.
Mark Dadić
Mark’s story is a great example of the opportunities available to graduates of AIM’s Entertainment Management degree. Starting out as an intern for Universal Music in 2015, Mark has gone on to enjoy an impressive career with the same company, where he is now Marketing and A&R Manager.
