The Australian Institute of Music alumni and students are always making new tunes. Here’s a few of our favourite new releases from our talented creative community.

The VANNS – “Feels Good Now”

The Vanns (featuring AIM alumni Andrew Banovich) have been rising to top just like cream, baby! Feels Good Now is energetic, rockin’ and a definite banger. Triple J have called them “one of our country’s best new guitar bands” and if this doesn’t pique your interest, nothing will.

General Shrubs Ft. Ellen Soffe – “Make You Pay”

“Make you Pay” was birthed from a feeling that we are constantly in a state of healing from something that scarred us, but at the same time someone else is in a state of healing because of something we did. The song was written with emotion and is intended to evoke this, however it’s also created to serve as a reminder that we all make mistakes and we can all be nasty, but deep down we’re all the same.”

Jacqui Lumsden – “Don’t Go Loving the Same

Jacqui has dropped her latest tune AND music video. We’re hearing all of the 80’s influences and dancing up a storm.

Florian – “Patrick Swayze

Stripped back and designed to force the listener to focus on the lyrics, this dreamy track is a brilliant palate cleanser in amongst her upbeat back catalogue which includes “Yours & Mine” released earlier this year.

Visualis – Sunrise in Black (Debut EP)

Metal lords unite for Sunrise in Black! Formed in 2018, Visualis “are a melodic metal band that aims to incorporate elements from several different metal sub-genres into our music, something that symbolises each members varied musical tastes and cultural backgrounds.”
