Kailesh Reitmann, an AIM Composition alumni, had an experience that many aspiring musicians can relate to…deciding where to study. What ultimately led him to AIM? It was the one-on-one audition. “I found it to be very personable and encouraging. At the time, I was deciding whether to study at another college or at AIM. The one-on-one audition I had was actually the convincing factor to go with AIM”.

Audition Time: Get Excited!
Get ready for a fun and laid-back audition experience at AIM that’s all about you and your music. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Timing: You’ve got a full 30 minutes to shine! Perform your best work and chat with us about your musical journey and future goals.
- Location: Once you’ve submitted your application, you can choose your campus for the big day. We have a Sydney and Melbourne campus.
- Preparation: Give us the lowdown on your music journey. Prepare an intro about yourself and your musical experience. Don’t forget to bring a device with your backing tracks. Or, if you have an accompanist, let us know ahead of time so we can hook you up with the perfect space!
But what if I can’t make it in person? No problem! AIM also offers online auditions or portfolio submissions. Just upload your files in the right formats, toss in a quick intro video, and tell us what you’re all about and why you want to study with us.
