We are thrilled to announce a series of music-based short courses designed for musicians and aspiring musicians looking to enhance their ability to create. Composing your own tunes in your bedroom but want to arm yourself with the knowledge to take your songs to the next level? Composing For Songwriters will get you there. Are you a vocalist looking for an expert tutor to take your voice soaring to new heights? Try Vocal Skills 1. Self-taught but lacking knowledge about the fundamental theories behind music? Our Music Theory course is designed for you. A guitar player looking to develop your rifflord abilities? Guitar 1 is your ideal next step to rock and roll stardom.

CREATIVE PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES

This exciting new course is designed for developing producers and composers to help to energise their musical works using technology and creativity. The course focuses on 5 key areas of production: Creating your sonic identity, practical sound design, creative environments, thinking outside the box and mastering cohesion. The course is focused on developing your music technology skills, with a focus on Ableton Live aptitude.

COMPOSING FOR SONGWRITERS

Composing for Songwriters will introduce participants to the fundamentals of composition including: rhythmic patterns, common and useful chord progressions, melody writing and song analysis. Music theory is explored in context.

AN INTRODUCTION TO MUSIC THEORY

This in-depth yet accessible short course will cover the fundamental areas of music theory and harmony. It is specifically designed for learners with no prior knowledge of music theory. Your teacher will explain key concepts in a logical, step-by-step manner.

VOCAL SKILLS 1

Vocal Skills 1 is designed for aspiring singers to develop good vocal technique through a variety of exercises, focusing on warming up, posture, breath control, vocal health, intonation and harmonising with others.

GUITAR SKILLS 1

A beginner program for adults which covers guitar basics and gives new players the opportunity to develop foundation skills through practical activities. You will learn correct posture and technique, basic strumming and finger/hand techniques and some key chords, towards being able to play a basic accompaniment.
