One of Australia's leading ladies of stage and screen with a list of major roles to her credit, Lucy Durack shot to stardom as Glinda the Good Witch in the original Australian cast of Wicked. She has gone on to star in a number of musicals in Australia, and has popped up on TV in various roles.

We can't wait to pick her brain in a short Q&A session and listen to her share her knowledge with our students on campus.

We were thrilled to be involved with @vividsydney 2022 in partnership with AIM’s music startup incubator, iHUB for our "Future of Music Sounds Different" event. The iHUB team hosted a panel of industry experts that focused on the inevitable evolution of the music industry, the innovation already underway and the companies that are at the helm of this change, including our incubator's own music startups! The event also featured performances by Alon Ilsar @airsticksguy and talented Composition & Production student Ichika Asato (swipe for her amazing multimedia project).

We then hosted a viewing party on the rooftop where attendees were treated to an amazing view of the fireworks and lights displayed across the harbour. What a night!

Presenting a celebration of the most influential American songs, our Music Theatre students are taking the stage tonight, 15th June.

The very legendary Murray Cook from the OG Wiggles along with fellow @soulmoversband band member, the amazing soul singer Lizzie Mack, just absolutely made our day!

Chatting to a group of our Management and Performance students on campus and online, we got to dive into the business sides of the industry and what it was like to co-create a global phenomenon in children’s music.

Alon Ilsar⁠ - @airsticksguy
Alon combines the physicality of drumming with the unlimited possibilities of computer music, taking the practice of real-time electronic music to a new realm.⁠
⁠
Alon is a drummer, composer, sound designer and instrument designer. He is co-designer of a new interface for electronic percussionists called the AirSticks, using the instrument in projects such as The Hour, The Sticks, Tuka (from Thundamentals), Sandy Evans’ ‘Rockpool,’ Ellen Kirkwood’s ‘[A]part‘, Kirin J Callinan, Kind of Silence (UK), Velize (US), Cephalon (US), Aether (US), Voyager (US), Bondi Dreaming, Silent Spring, Trigger Happy, Monotreme (US) and Brian Campeau.⁠

Ichika Asoto⁠
Ichika is an aspiring Sydney based experimental electronic music composer. Born in Japan, and having lived in the U.S., Germany, and Australia, she integrates her unique cultural identity into her music by being versatile and idiosyncratic in all aspects of her composition.⁠
