The Undergraduate Certificate in Music is a 100% online course for anyone interested in deepening their skill and knowledge around music. With no assumed knowledge of music theory, you can choose a study path focused on your interests, from performance and composing, to producers and audio engineers.
This course is only available to domestic students.

Entry Requirements
School leaver applicants must:
Have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 qualification (or overseas equivalent as assessed by the Department of Education, including the International Baccalaureate (IB)), in the last 2 years.

What You’ll Study

The Undergraduate Certificate in Music can be tailored to suit your music interests – even if you have more than one! For example, a student who is a performer and producer can undertake learning in both these areas.
All learning is online and can be undertaken at any time to work around your schedule. There are regular weekly check-ins, Q and A sessions and general advice sessions held after business hours, with our AIM educational and musical experts.
Graduates will be qualified to undertake further studies, with credit granted if they progress into the Diploma of Music, Associate Degrees in Music, or the Bachelor of Music at AIM.
Please note this course is AQF Level 5 and this is a FEE-HELP eligible course.
Students have a choice of one of two options for study:
Major Specialisation Modules
Through the study of four specialisation modules (2 per study period), students will focus on developing the creative, technical, and professional skills required by professional music practitioners, and explore the roles, skills and resources required to convert creative ideas into marketable commodities. It will enable students to build musical flexibility through the development of musical literacy and collaborative techniques. Studying the Undergraduate Certificate in Music encourages the development of digital technology skills and online music making.
