Student Support Sessions

Academic Support Sessions are available to assist students with every academic subject area – from all levels of theory and aural, to extended response writing and referencing. Also, help is offered in arranging or transcription for composition and contemporary assignments.

Student Wellbeing

We are strongly committed to supporting the wellbeing of our students. Our Wellbeing Program includes the following areas.

We offer confidential, one-on-one catchups with students the chat about anything affecting your studies. We can also help with counselling referrals for ongoing support.

Our regular workshops cover topics such as guided meditation, dealing with anxiety and procrastination.

We apply the Social Model of Disability in relation to disability support. This model seeks to change society in order to accommodate people living with a disability; it does not seek to change persons with a disability to accommodate society. We support what is termed reasonable adjustments for students with a diagnosed physical or mental health condition with our Equal Opportunity Adjustment Program (EAOP).

Support for International Students

In addition to the services mentioned above, we provide specific support for international students. These include:

  • An English as a second language program and resources.
  • Library and resources.
  • Academic Skills Classes, aimed at improving English language skills of speaking, reading, listening and writing.
