If you’ve found a music course at AIM that suits your career goals, there are three main ways you can enrol for February 2026: Direct Entry, VTAC or UAC.

Direct Entry Application Process
Why apply directly to AIM?
Apply directly to AIM via the AIM website is a really easy process, and it’s the ideal choice if you:
– Know which course at AIM you want
– Join a community of artists who are shaping the future of music
– You want to secure your place by auditioning as soon as possible
Choose your course
Explore our wide range of courses and review the entry requirements.
Submit your application
Visit the AIM Application portal, create an account, and submit your app.
Audition or submit your portfolio
Most courses require this; check the entry requirements for each.
Accept your letter of offer
To secure your place, accept your offer and prepare to enrol.
Provide documents
Send copies of the documents that demonstrate you meet the entry requirements.

Apply via UAC (AIM Sydney)
What is UAC?: The University Admissions Centre (UAC) coordinates all university enrollment applications across the state of New South Wales. Registering via UAC means you can apply for courses at multiple universities across NSW on one platform, in order of your course preference. You can apply for courses in NSW from other states via UAC.
How to apply for a course at AIM’s Sydney campus via UAC:
- Visit UAC
- Create a UAC account and submit your personal and academic information.
- Select the AIM courses you’re interested in.
- Submit your preferences: make sure to select your favourite AIM course as your first preference in the UAC preference list, to ensure the best chance of getting in. You can change preferences until the listed deadline.
- Prepare for your audition while you wait to hear from the AIM Future Students Team regarding a date.
Apply via VTAC (AIM Melbourne)
What is VTAC?: The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) coordinates and centralises university enrollment applications across the state of Victoria. Registering via VTAC allows you to apply for courses from multiple universities across the state on one platform, in order of your course preference. You can also apply for courses within Victoria using VTAC if you are graduating outside the state.
How to apply for a course at AIM’s Melbourne campus via VTAC:
- Visit VTAC
- Create a VTAC account and submit your personal and academic information.
- Select the AIM courses you’re interested in.
- Submit your preferences: make sure to select your favourite AIM course as your first preference in the VTAC system, to ensure the best chance of getting in. You can change preferences until the listed deadline.
- Prepare for your audition while you wait to hear from the AIM Future Students Team regarding a date.
