Getting your offer to study at the Australian Institute of Music is a huge moment – so congratulations! You’re one step closer to starting your creative journey, whether that’s in performance, production, composition, music theatre, or music business.
While we’re equally as excited to welcome you to our campuses, before you can kick off your first of many jam sessions, the next step is making sure that you have locked in your spot for your preferred study period.
If you’re confused by the process, we’re here to help! Here’s everything you need to know about how to accept your offer to study at AIM.

Step 1: Read your offer carefully
We know how exciting it is to get your AIM offer letter, but before you make the big announcement to your friends and family, take a few minutes to read it from top to bottom.
Your offer will be sent to you via email and will include your course details, start date, and any conditions you’ll need to meet before you officially enrol, so be sure to keep a copy for your records.
If it’s a conditional offer, we might need extra documents like your final results or proof of English skills, so be sure to handle these as soon as possible so everything runs smoothly!

Step 2: Accept your offer
If you’ve read through your email and you’re ready to lock in your place, it’s time to officially accept your offer to study at AIM!
On your offer email, be sure to click ‘Accept Your Offer,’ which will take you through to your enrolment form. Once you’ve accessed the form, ensure all details on this form are correct and complete any required fields.
Make sure you have your required documents at hand, so you can upload copies as you go through this form. All required documents are listed as conditions in your offer email.
If you don’t have them ready to go, don’t stress! You can send that to us by replying to your offer email at any time.
If your offer came through UAC or VTAC, you will receive an email from them, which will be followed by an email from AIM with a link for you to complete your enrolment, similar to the steps outlined above for direct applicants.
We may still need additional documentation from you, and we will reach out if that’s the case.

Step 3: Get ready for Orientation
After your acceptance and payment are processed, AIM will send a confirmation email with details about your orientation, class timetables, and how to set up your student account. Keep an eye on your email and log into the student portal for updates.
This is also a great time to explore AIM’s online student community, find accommodation options if you’re relocating, and start connecting with new classmates.
You’ve earned your spot – now it’s about making the most of it.
By following these steps, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running and start creating your future at the Australian Institute of Music.
