Robert Sedky

Academic Lecturer

Robert John Sedky is a Melbourne-based musician and composer. While his first passion is composition, he has worked extensively as a session player, producer and solo recording artist.

He has shared the stage with luminaries such as Dionne Warwick, Randy Crowford and Joe Sample and with artist Eran James, he toured nationally as support to Sir Elton John. 

For theatre, Robert composed the score and sound design for the Melbourne Theatre Company production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

For the screen, he composed the score for Mert Berdilek’s short films The Fall and award-winning Crossfire. He composed the score for Ties That Bind, winner of the best screenplay at the Sydney Film Festival.

He composed the score for the Academy-accredited Beast, winner of Best Australian Short Film at Flickerfest in 2017. 

In 2017 Robert was the recipient of Creative Victoria’s Artist in Schools program.
