Hannah Joy

Sydney band Middle Kids – featuring AIM alum Hannah Joy on vocals, guitar and piano – need little introduction. With bandmates Tim Fitz and Harry Day, Hanna has experienced a level of fame and international attention that few acts get to see.

In just four short years, the band has seen their debut album debut at #10 on the ARIAS charts and won the prestigious J Award for Australian Album of the Year.

They played their USA TV debut on Conan and have gone on to play Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The band have toured extensively in the US, performing at South by Southwest, Lollapalooza, Governors Ball Music Festival, LouFest, Firefly Music Festival, Austin City Limits Fest and more. They have opened on tours for The War on Drugs, Ryan Adams, Cold War Kids and Local Natives.

The band supported Bloc Party on a European tour in 2018 and played a live session in the UK at the BBC Maida Vale Studios.

The band released the EP New Songs for Old Problems in 2019. In January 2021, Middle Kids released their second studio album, which earned the ARIA Award for Best Rock Album.
