Natalie Abbott

Natalie Abbott is an actress, singer and performer originally hailing from the South Coast of NSW. She appeared in the leading role of Muriel Heslop in Global Creatures’ national tour of Muriel’s Wedding The Musical in 2019, playing to audiences in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Most recently, Natalie has been seen on ABC TV in the leading of role of Diana in Aftertaste, opposite Erik Thomson and Rachel Griffiths. Natalie’s performance has been received with glowing reviews from critics and from viewers. In 2021 she made an appearance in Amazon Prime’s sketch comedy series The Moth Effect.

Natalie’s love of performing began back in 2013 after winning the Bell Shakespeare regional performance scholarship with her monologue of Viola from the Twelfth Night – it solidified that performing was the dream. Natalie then went on to complete a Bachelor of Music degree in Musical Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) where Natalie was under the guidance of an array of illustrious industry professionals, like the wonderful Jennifer Murphy and Greg Crease, whose wisdom and passion has been an incredible inspiration to her.

Natalie was nominated for a Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor in a Musical, and a Green Room Award for Lead Role in Musical Theatre for Muriel’s Wedding the Musical.
