Applicants are required to have a Bachelor Degree, and have relevant musical professional practice experience.

What You’ll Study
The Master of Music (MMus) is designed to be student-centric, focusing on your creative vision rather than simply coursework. This program is structured to support you in delivering a significant creative project—whether that’s running a music festival, developing new compositions, or finding new markets for your music. You’ll have the flexibility to propose and bring your unique ideas to life, with guidance and mentorship from experienced industry professionals.
The program includes:
- 50% Creative Projects: Engage in hands-on creative work where you will propose and develop your project, setting and achieving key milestones along the way. Whether you’re organising a music festival, composing original music, or innovating in the music business, you will receive the support necessary to bring your vision to fruition.
- 30% Research: Undertake research subjects that support and inform your creative projects, helping you deepen your knowledge and refine your approach. This program is designed to set you up for rigorous research and real-world application of insights and findings, ensuring you’re well-prepared for a successful career in the music industry.
- 20% Electives: Choose from a range of electives, from Music and Sound for Media to Production, Teaching Techniques for Early Learners, Finance, and Governance—allowing you to further enhance your expertise and tailor your studies to your career goals.
You will also receive personalised 1:1 mentoring from industry practitioners, ensuring that you are supported in achieving your academic and professional goals.
