Dr. Brieley Cutting

Dr. Brieley Cutting is an Australian pianist whose playing has been critically praised for its “myriad of colours” and technical expertise. Throughout her career, she has combined her performing with her work as a piano teacher, academic lecturer, accompanist, artistic director, and artistic researcher.  

Brieley has performed as concerto soloist with orchestras including the Melbourne Symphony, Adelaide Symphony, Queensland Symphony, Melbourne Youth Orchestra, and Nizchny-Novgorod Philharmonic.  

Brieley’s work with other ensembles in Australia has included performing with the Australia Piano Quartet. She also has continuing collaborative relationships with artists such as Monika Koerner (flute), Judit Molnar (soprano), and Kristian Winther (violin). Previously in her career, Brieley has performed for Musica Viva and Musica Viva in Schools, 4MBS in Brisbane, and ABC Classic FM.
