Bronte Maree O’Neill has been performing since the age of twelve across Pop, Rock, Music Theatre, Soul, RnB and Jazz. With multiple entertainment agents and residencies, she performs regularly around Sydney and has completed seven contracts as a Guest Entertainer for P&O Cruise Lines. Her performance credits include the Sydney Opera House, Luna Park, and the Royal Easter Show, as well as collaborations with the Navy Big Band, Blue Mountains Symphony Orchestra, and session backing vocal work for X Factor Australia (Grand Final) and the AACTA Awards with Guy Sebastian (Channel 7).
Bronte is also an established Composer and Songwriter, working closely with AIM alumni Dominic Cabusi under Maari Music. Their screen work has been released internationally across cinema and television, streaming on Netflix and Prime Video and airing on ABC and SBS. Their feature film The Red Shoes: Next Step included an 11-song original soundtrack and full score, earning an APRA AMCOS Screen Music Award nomination. In 2025, they received a second APRA AMCOS Screen Music Award nomination for First Moon, and in 2026 are nominated for an AACTA Award (Channel 7) for Best Original Song for Carmen & Bolude. Their fifth feature film recently premiered at the Brisbane Indie Film Festival winning Best Feature Film, with their first documentary score set to air in 2026.
Their songs – written independently and through commissions with Sony Music Publishing; have found sync features across international TV and advertising, including BBC World News and House Rules (Channel 7). Alongside screen work, the duo release original music under multiple aliases, gaining international radio play, MTV airtime, and support slots for artists such as North-East Party House, Wafia and E^st.
Bronte’s early fascination with vocal anatomy led to extensive training, postgraduate study, and ongoing research into sustainable vocal technique for contemporary performers. As a professional session vocalist and songwriter, she brings a deep understanding of the physical, mental, and emotional demands of performance, combining technical longevity with authentic artistry in her teaching at AIM.
