George Makras brings his extensive knowledge in music production, composition and audio to his teaching role at AIM. A long-time member of the AIM Audio and Composition & Music Production Departments, George’s understanding of digital technology and digital audio workstations makes him an indispensable resource for many students.
In 2006 George was certified as a Level One Apple Certified Pro Logic Trainer. George is an accomplished programmer and electronic music composer. He also teaches other areas of digital media such as web design, image capture and editing.
He has travelled extensively thru India and Nepal over the past 10 years as an Audio Engineer with the GEOS project.
George has performed extensively with the Sydney University Gamelan Ensemble, the Sydney Institute of Technology Ensemble “SITE” and was a member of Sydney indie band “Fred the Bison”.
