Jaewoo Kim

Jaewoo Kim is a professional Korean-born Australian Opera Singer. He was a member of Opera Australia’s Young Artists’ Development Programme in 1998 and a principal artist for the company since 2000. He has won many prestigious awards and competitions including the Australian Singing Competition and McDonald’s Aria Competition. Jaewoo relocated to the United Kingdom in 2006 where he obtained his Masters Degree in Voice at the Royal College of Music. His career extended to many operatic and concert roles in the UK and Europe-principal roles at the English National Opera UK, the Diva Opera in Switzerland, France and Italy, the Lyric Opera in Dublin and the Opera Show in Spain and Croatia. Throughout his operatic journey, he notably collaborated with renowned conductors including Richard Bonynge, Simon Young, Richard Hickox, Christopher Hogwood and Edward Gardner. Jaewoo is an established singing teacher, currently teaching at AIM while running his own private studio.
