Jake Tyler is an alumnus of the Australian Institute of Music – graduating with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Musical Theatre. Whilst at AIM, Jake played leading man Darryl Van Horn in The Witches of Eastwick and Officer Barrel in Urinetown the Musical. He has performed alongside American composer John Bucchino and invited to perform with international star Adele in her Australian tour in 2017.
Since graduating, Jake has been a part of Squabbalogic productions such as Kiss Me Kate! and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. He toured with Echelon Productions as George in Treasure Hunt, to later join the Australian Shakespeare Company in Jungle Book – The Next Chapter.
In 2019 Jake joined international group The Tap Pack, took a leading role in the New Zealand tour of CATS the Musical and performed as Prince Phillip in Opera Australia’s world premier of Whiteley – The Brett Whiteley Opera and the role of Adam in Opera Australia’s Marriage of Figaro.
