AIM students are prolific musicians and this week’s new releases from our own Rya Park, Jacob Aedam and CHENDA are testament to the incredible talent bursting from the seams here at AIM.
Constant – “Lost in Motion“
Inspired by the likes of James Blake, Tourist and Hayden James, vocalist and electronic artist Stephen Charles has released his second dance track Lost in Motion under the persona, Constant. This second helping of music from Constant is a great follow up from his first bangin’ track Fade Away. Described by Triple J’s Steph Hughes as “subtle and otherworldly” we’re digging the juxtaposition of organic and manipulated vocals and we think you’ll dig it too.
Jacob Aedam – “South Boulevard“ Remixes
Following on from the release of South Boulevard ft. Yung Shōgun, brand new remixes of the track have hit the soundwaves. You can check out the original and the follow up remixes from Researcher, Byron and The Aquarius and Tom Benter below.
CHENDA, Kløn & Harley Bird – “Carry You”
Carry You is the latest release from Melbourne artist Josh Sytema, better known as CHENDA. Co-written, performed and produced with alt rock artist, Harley Bird and renowned Belgium house duo, Kløn, this is one heartfelt dubstep tune with the angst seeping into your soul through the vocal delivery and the build-up to the drop. As described by Josh, “This track is extremely special to me and a very emotional adaption of my dubstep style.”
Rya Park – “Generational
Generational is the fifth release from Melbourne based artist Rya Park. Paired with her signature melancholic sound, this indie-pop track talks about the generation mindset gap and the climate of living life in your 20s in an anxiety ridden 21st century.
