Transitioning from student to Marketing Executive, meet Brieahna Chadevski. Armed with a Bachelor’s in Entertainment Management and enriched by two pivotal internships, she’s swiftly risen to the top. Under the guidance of AIM’s industry professionals, Brieahna now excels at Qudos Bank Arena, where she crafts unforgettable experiences. Below, she shares insights into her journey, highlighting the crucial role AIM’s industry connections and internships played in her success.

How did the practical experience at AIM shape your marketing approach in the entertainment field?

I studied for the Bachelor of Entertainment Management. The lecturers, being industry professionals, provided invaluable insight into the entertainment industry. Their experience taught us what to expect and how to approach every aspect of the industry.

How did AIM’s industry connections contribute to your marketing career?

I completed two internships – one with the events and marketing team at Home The Venue and the second with the Media Planning and Buying team at Universal Music Australia. These internships provided me with a wealth of knowledge on how to market events and releases to critical demographics. In particular, my internship at Universal was instrumental in kickstarting my career as they offered me a full-time position, which has led me to where I am today.

Can you share a significant AIM project or experience that influenced your career?

The course that allowed us to plan and execute an event had a profound and lasting impact on me. Being part of a team and working together to organise the event and then witnessing it come to life made me realise that I wanted to pursue a career in this industry. Additionally, this experience allowed me to form long-lasting friendships with my fellow students.

What challenges have shaped your determination in reaching your goals?

I have encountered some challenges in my professional life that have caused me to develop self-confidence in recognising my worth regarding my experience and expertise in the field. Furthermore, I have gained valuable personal growth skills that I have been able to apply to my work, enabling me to perform to the best of my ability and deliver all projects successfully.

What is the proudest moment in your career?

I have been fortunate enough to work with some fantastic individuals in the entertainment industry. Each person I have met has extensive knowledge, and I have learned much from them. My work at Qudos Bank Arena has allowed me to assist in organising events for some of my favourite artists.

And lastly, what advice would you give students at AIM who are contemplating a career path similar to yours?

I recommend pursuing a course at AIM to understand the field comprehensively. Take advantage of internships, as they can open unexpected doors in your career.
