Student Support at AIM
At AIM, we are committed to providing a holistic support system to guide students throughout their academic journey. Our Student Support Team offers comprehensive academic and wellbeing services designed to help students thrive, both in and outside of the classroom.

Student Support Sessions
Academic Support Sessions are available to assist students with every academic subject area – from all levels of theory and aural, to extended response writing and referencing. Also, help is offered in arranging or transcription for composition and contemporary assignments.
Academic Support Sessions
We provide tailored academic support across all subject areas, including theory, aural skills, extended response writing, referencing, and transcription for composition and contemporary assignments. Students can access one-on-one sessions, group workshops, and peer mentoring to ensure their academic needs are met.
Personalised Success Plans
If you’re needing a little bit of support or feel that your workload is getting on top of you, we can help guide you to achieve your best. This includes a one-on-one success meeting with our Student Success Manager, regular check-ins to see how you’re going with your studies, extra mentoring or academic tutoring, and referrals to our Wellbeing program.
Wellbeing Support
We place a strong emphasis on student wellbeing. Our Wellbeing Program includes:
One-on-One Appointments & Counselling
We offer confidential, personal appointments to discuss any challenges affecting academic performance. We also assist students by offering free counselling sessions.
Wellbeing Workshops
We regularly run workshops on topics such as mindfulness, managing anxiety, and overcoming procrastination.
Advocacy
Our support staff can act as intermediaries between students and academic or administrative bodies to ensure their needs are understood and addressed, particularly in situations requiring special consideration or accommodations.
Equal Opportunity Adjustment Program
Through our Equal Opportunity Adjustment Program (EAOP), we provide reasonable adjustments for students with a disability, physical or mental health condition. Adjustments may include changes to study loads, assessments, or learning environments. We encourage all students with a disability, physical or mental health condition to have a confidential discussion regarding their learning needs upon commencement at AIM. We’re here to ensure all students have the best possible chance of success.
Support for International Students
In addition to our general support services, we offer specific resources for international students, including:
English Language Support
Referrals to English Language and speaking programs. We also run events and workshops designed to get all students talking with each other which enhances language capability.
