@naidocweek is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. Celebrations are held across the country in the first week of July each year to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This week, AIM is getting behind this year's #NAIDOC theme "Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!" at our campuses in Naarm and Tallawolladah - the unseeded lands on which our campuses stand.

We were stoked to officially launch our very own record label, @2030recordings at AIM Sydney last week. The sold-out show featured performances by 2030 artists including @giadarcy, @rahplaysmusic, @outerwater, with a guest appearance by @riddo.x and @birdeeofficial. Thanks to all who made the night so special. We can't wait to champion even more of AIM's most talented students. From 1pm, sudents in Sydney can celebrate with us on the Rooftop, and in Melbourne, jump on stage for a jam in the Student lounge.

We are super excited to be welcoming the incredible @lucydurack to our Melbourne campus for a special masterclass next week!!
One of Australia's leading ladies of stage and screen with a list of major roles to her credit, Lucy Durack shot to stardom as Glinda the Good Witch in the original Australian cast of Wicked. She has gone on to star in a number of musicals in Australia, and has popped up on TV in various roles.

We can't wait to pick her brain in a short Q&A session and listen to her share her knowledge with our students on campus.

We were thrilled to be involved with @vividsydney 2022 in partnership with AIM’s music startup incubator, iHUB for our "Future of Music Sounds Different" event. The iHUB team hosted a panel of industry experts that focused on the inevitable evolution of the music industry, the innovation already underway and the companies that are at the helm of this change, including our incubator's own music startups! The event also featured performances by Alon Ilsar @airsticksguy and talented Composition & Production student Ichika Asato (swipe for her amazing multimedia project).

We then hosted a viewing party on the rooftop where attendees were treated to an amazing view of the fireworks and lights displayed across the harbour. What a night!

Presenting a celebration of the most influential American songs, our Music Theatre students are taking the stage tonight, 15th June.

Now the Marketing Manager for Sony Music Australia, Jessica was recently recognised as one of @themusicnetwork’s Top 30 Under 30. The very legendary Murray Cook from the OG Wiggles along with fellow @soulmoversband band member, the amazing soul singer Lizzie Mack, just absolutely made our day!

Chatting to a group of our Management and Performance students on campus and online, we got to dive into the business sides of the industry and what it was like to co-create a global phenomenon in children’s music.

Murray is the second @thewiggles member to visit our Sydney campus and we are so happy he could swing by and say hi!
