All students who wish to study a Bachelor of Music Theatre at AIM must successfully audition to enter the course. Our open-call audition day offers a collaborative and experience-based environment, allowing applicants to work with faculty and get a sense of what student life is like at AIM.
Across the course of the day, prospective students will participate in a series of classes in addition to a one-on-one interview/audition.
- Singing: Students will be assessed on vocal technique and development potential in addition to general musicality. Two contrasting pieces are required to be performed. All sheet music in correct keys should be supplied by the prospective student.
- Acting: Students will be required to perform a prepared monologue (2-3 mins) of their own choosing in addition to general acting instruction on the day assessing skill level and potential for development.
- Dance: Students will be assessed on their technical abilities, approach to dance/movement and potential for development.
We encourage you to showcase your interests and talents, revealing who you are as a performer. We are excited to learn of your potential and welcome you to our audition day for 2025 commencement.
